The evening was based on an Elvis theme, and went down very well.

Didcot Bowls Club Memorial Trophy and BBQ.

This was held at The Club on Saturday 30th June 2018 at 2:30pm for the Memorial Trophy Triples Match and then later at 5:30 for 6:00pm for the match meal and social.
The dress theme for the social was "Cowboys" etc.
A BBQ with sausages, burgers, frankfurters, onions, buns, salads and ice creams etc was served up in the Clubhouse after bowlers had changed etc.
Music along the cowboy theme was then played and some tried their luck at line dancing.
But for most, I think the hot summer day during the bowling period had wiped them out.

Didcot Bowls Club's Annual Open Day took place on Sunday 13th May 2018.

This was open to all members of the public that felt they would like to come and have a go at Lawn Green Bowling.

If you missed the Open Day but would still like to give it a go, please contact us for further details.
Someone will nearly always be available to give you a couple of hours to try things out, and membership is accepted at any time of the year (pro rata based).

23rd April 2018 marks St. George's Day.

2 days before this on the Saturday evening of the 21st April, Didcot Bowls Club held their second social evening of the year.
What a brilliant evening.
Of course, the theme was "Red and White" and a good many people turned up in those colours.

This was a real fun & games evening for members, their families and friends too.

We had sausage, mash and baked beans/peas, followed by a good selection of homemade desserts.
The bar was open all evening allowing drinks to be purchased. Phew, you needed these as it was such a warm evening.

What a laugh with some of the games played. My sides are still splitting.
Others like a short different game of bingo were a bit more serious.
It was all great fun.

A big thank you to the Social/Entertainments Committee, the Kitchen Staff and Bar Staff for making this what it was.
