DIDCOT BOWLS CLUB

            Success of Club members has been exceptional in County and National level this year.

            The ladies we were represented at Leamington by:

            Jane Porter, Helen Moore and Sally Gilbert in the Triples.

            Jane Murphy in the 2wood and National Champion of Champions (Last 16)

            Jane Murphy and Lynn Orlando in the Pairs.

            For the men:

            Mark Hancock won the County 2 wood Champion of Champions.

            David Hancock won the under 25 County Singles, went on to Worthing.

            David also won the Home Counties under 25 Champion of Champions.

            Possibly for the first time Didcot had two representatives in the County Singles last 16 – Gordon Evans and Derek Loosmore.

            Santo Orlando also made the last 16 of the Unbadged.

            In the leagues the Ladies Sapphires won Div 1 of the Ridgeway. 

            The men’s Kennet league A team came second in the whole of Berkshire; narrowly beaten by Desborough in the final after beating Reading

            in the semi-final under lights.
