Formed in 1969, Didcot Bowls Club occupies a prestigious site in the heart of Didcot

The modern, purpose-built clubhouse has excellent facilities for members and visitors

The maximum-size green is wholly maintained by ourselves and has up to seven rinks

An initiative involving a local junior school allows us to provide short mat and outdoor bowling twice weekly

We were the first club in the county to appoint a Youth Officer to the main committee

Since its inception in 1969, Didcot has won 21 county finals

With over 100 members of all ages from early teens to those in their ninth decade, Didcot has a thriving membership, and invites you to come along to see our fine facilities

We are generally acknowleged as having one of the finest and best-maintained seven-rink greens in the area

Learn to play bowls in Didcot

Each bowl has a "bias" - this means your  bowl will curve around those already on the green. With a little practice you can get your bowl to stop just where you want it.

Why not give it a go?

Call Gill Boucher on 01235 516660 for more information or to arrange for someone to show you just how easy it is to get started. Remember, whatever age you are, you can play bowls.

For more information on how bowls is played see this Wikepedia page
