We play mixed gender teams from October until April.

Most Saturday mornings during the winter seasons, the clubhouse is used for roll-ups (practice).

If you are interested in playing (and maybe joining), drop in between 10am and midday on a Saturday, or use the Contact Us pages to obtain further information.

CLUB GAMES

The 2023/24 Short Mat Singles Competition will be open to all Didcot Bowls Club bowling members.

This competition will ususally have the round-robin games over three days sometime in December 2023.

The knock-out stages will start sometime in January 2024.

This will then progress to a Finals Day.

Well done to Howard Southwood who won the 2022/23 competition.

CLUB SINGLES COMPETITION

From the 21 short mat bowlers that entered this competition, it came down to the last 8 playing on Thursday 14th March 2024 with the final concluding between Dave Watts and Howard Southwood. 

Congratulations to all 8 that played this evening, and congratulations to Dave and Howard for reaching the Final.  However, Dave took the trophy as the winner of the Final.

Congratulations Dave.

The 2023/24 Club Singles Competition was won by Dave Watts.

The 2022/23 Club Singles Competition was won by Howard Southwood.

COUNTY GAMES

CONGRATULATIONS to Santo, Lynn, Roger, Phil, Tina and Dave for winning the Oxfordshire Teams Competition for 2019 against 9 other teams.

This was played at Oxford & District Bowls Association's venue in Sandy Lane West, Oxford on Sunday 10th March 2019.

NATIONAL GAMES

The Inaugural Ladies British Isles Short Mat Bowls Championships  were attended by our Lynn Orlando on 7th & 8th October 2023.

The team event included England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales and was eventually won by Ireland with England coming in second.

Alongside this event were individual discipline championships (still representing their countries), and Lynn skipped the England Ladies Fours team to victory coming 1st overall.

WELL DONE LYNN, we are proud of you.

 The 2018 England Ladies Short Mat Team played Belgium in the 

final in Europe in the early part of the year, and WON.
