This year (2026), our Open Days to the General Public, will be held over the two days of Sat 2nd May and Sun 3rd May (no need to book).
This is a no-charge event where you can turn up between 10:00am and 3:00pm on either/both days to try your skills at Lawn Green Bowling. A member of The Club will guide you through the first steps of bowling on The Green, answering any questions you may have. If on the day, you do not want to bowl (or if it is raining heavily), you may just want to visit our facility, have a tour and/or just ask questions.
Generally ages from about 10 years old and upwards (no upper limit) are accepted on The Green, and the only stipulation is that you should have flat soled shoes/trainers.
We look forward to seeing you.

A great charitable event helping to raise money for a good cause.

Worth mentioning is a Hotshots event that took place at Didcot Bowls Club on 23rd July 2024.
A Hotshot is when all team members playing on one rink (Pairs, Triples or Fours) score maximum shots on one end. During a Kennet League match on Tuesday 23rd July 2024, one of the Fours scored the maximum of 8 shots with their bowls. This is rarely seen during a season and is worth mentioning here and on the Bowls International website.
Congratulations to Bill, Richard, Peter and Steve on this achievement.

Memorial Trophy & Barbeque. Sun 26th Aug 2023.
8 teams of Triples/Fours played three games each to find an eventual winner of the Memorial Trophy.
One minute's silence at the beginning of the afternoon and two hours chattering at the end of the day (along with the bowling of course in between) gave everyone an appetite to savour the delicious barbequed food cooked onsite.
